Abstract
Guin recounts his friendship with Catherine Young Silva, who received her Master's degree in Philosophy for Children, at Montclair State College and later established and directed the Brazilian Center of Philosophy for Children in São Paulo, Brazil. He explains her understanding of the political importance of children's philosophy and his process of editing her curricular philosophical story "Catherine's Story."
