Abstract
We have measured the charge-density-wave (CDW) induced, nonlinear response of K0.30MoO3 to a current step and have observed transient oscillations in the leading edge of the step response. The frequency of the oscillations varies linearly with the CDW current and agrees with minima seen in the dielectric function. The oscillations result from enhanced damping of the CDW at a frequency which is equal to the narrow-band noise frequency even though steady-state oscillations are not observed.
