Abstract
As at 2009, there are about 75% of clinics and hospitals that are still using the archaic fde/folder system to write and store medical data. In fact, the current health care debate has elevated this discussion as well, since it is a common believe that EMR will reduce health care cost in the long run. Some of the primary reasons and advantage of using the electronic medical records to store data are 1. Cost reduction, 2 Easy accesses to Medical records, and 3 Environmental friendly (paperless). In this project, a cost effective and user friendly EMR which is easy to install, easy to use, was developed to collect medical data. The system developed was tested on two clinics: one is a urgent care center and the other one an allergy and asthma center.
