Abstract
間 Between Heaven and Earth is a dance performance, installation, and meditation on the spaces we create and the breaks we rejoin through the process of healing. In it, I create physical spaces and an experience that shifts the perception of participants and viewers to a suspension of time and altered sense of place. My research and creative process incorporates trauma research, neuroaesthetic theories, East Asian philosophies, and a collaboration with composer Satya Hinduja–founder of Alchemic Electronica®, in healing frequencies. In this document, I share my research, methodology and creative process, and analysis of the final performance and its future implications.
