Abstract
A research need exists regarding the dispositional antecedents of shared leadership. Using 144 entrepreneurial teams as a sample, this study investigates the dispositional antecedents that facilitate development of shared leadership and the performance consequence of shared leadership. The results show that both Big-5 personality mean score and diversity were important predictors of shared leadership, and shared leadership was positively related to team performance. These findings advance the understanding of shared leadership and entrepreneurial team performance and provide practical implications regarding team structure.
