Abstract
A dozen educators in the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District are implementing the Philosophy for Children program developed by Matthew Lipman at the Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children at Montclair State College in New Jersey. Peter Shea, a philosophy Ph.D. student at the University of Minnesota, is observed facilitating a children's philosophy session and provides commentary.
