Abstract
The main goal of this project is to develop an Android “Hydro Data App” that focuses on climate prediction to achieve the aim of sustainable local water management. In this project, we focus on climate related data based on precipitation, humidity, and temperature considering the actual latitude and longitude in the Passaic region of New Jersey. The users are required to input the location and year; the app displays the latitude and longitude along with the output on estimated precipitation, humidity and temperature at that given place and time. This app provides very user-friendly features, so that it is easy for various users to access it on daily basis. The major challenges faced in this work are to get the data on the prediction of these parameters. We have to get access to NetCDF API and then transfer it to a format so that data can be appropriately processed, analyzed and displayed within the app. This app would be beneficial to various users such as environmental scientists as well as regular residents of the respective areas.
