Catalytic Addition of Sulfinates to Nitroalkenes
Description
Bifunctional sulfur-nitrogen compounds are widespread in pharmaceuticals. We will present our results in the development of catalytic additions of readily available sulfinate salts to nitroalkenes. We have for the first time applied the technique of phase transfer catalysis to this reaction, and we will present our optimization of the reaction conditions as well as the first studies on the scope of the reaction with respect to different reaction partners.
