Description
In 2018, the faculty and leaders at Achievement First East Brooklyn High School set out to rethink what it meant to support our most vulnerable students, including those overaged and under-credited and/or with IEP's. The session will include the achievements, challenges and key takeaways for the “Evergreen Success Program,” an initiative that provides targeted socioemotional support and differentiated academic intervention through teacher development, school design, family partnerships and student voice. In 2020, the intervention led to a 90% graduation rate of our “Red-Flag Scholars” compared to a 25% graduation rate of similarly at risk students in other schools in our district that same year.
