Abstract
A thorough review of the literature reveals that there is little or no information on children's psychological reactions to devastating events, such as the Oklahoma City bombing, the Gulf War, or the recent destruction of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon that were witnessed on television. The present article explores children's psychological reactions in light of Piagetian theory. Suggestions for mental health counselors are then presented. © 2002, Sage Publications.
