What is MSYOU!?
- Do you want to be somebody who makes the world a better place?
- Would you like to learn how to take an idea all the way from imagination to implementation?
- If you want to be somebody who makes a difference, why not start with our own community at Montclair State University?
MSYou! is a university-wide program focused on encouraging students to get involved with community engagement by looking at our own community, identifying problems or challenges and offering creative solutions. It is an invitation to promote meaningful change.
Successful applicants will become ‘Disruption Fellows’ who will work with faculty and staff experts in social change, entrepreneurship and innovation, and community engagement. Fellows will work in teams over the spring 2022 semester to develop ideas about how to make meaningful changes in the university and then develop the tools, language and skills to take their ideas all the way to implementable projects.
Disruption Fellows will receive $1000 stipends, access to the quiet working space of the Mix Lab in the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, workshops, lunches, mentoring and opportunities to meet with and learn from community activists and leaders from outside the university.
Proposals are due October 22, 2021 by 11:59 PM and successful Fellows will be notified by October 25, 2021.
Visit our Student Participation and Proposal Guidelines for further details on how to apply.
